QUINCY, WA — If you were looking for superheroes, princesses, dinosaurs, ghosts, or just about anything else imaginable Friday night, downtown Quincy was the place to be!
Families turned out in force Friday evening, October 30, for Quincy’s Downtown Trick-or-Treat celebration, filling Central Avenue and B Street in both directions with costumes, candy buckets, and plenty of Halloween excitement.
And when we say downtown was packed, we mean packed!
Local businesses and storefronts got into the Halloween spirit alongside first responders, community organizations, and public services. Even the Quincy Animal Shelter, Recreation Department, and Quincy School District joined the fun, helping transform downtown into one big Halloween celebration.
Kids made their way from stop to stop, collecting candy and showing off costumes ranging from adorable to downright spooky. Meanwhile, parents navigated the crowds, kept track of their little monsters, and probably wondered just how much sugar was going home with them.
It was the kind of evening that makes downtown Quincy feel like one big neighborhood block party.

One Night Just Wasn’t Enough!
Of course, Quincy wasn’t about to let all that Halloween fun end Friday night.
The festivities continued Saturday, October 31, at the Quincy Public Market, where more vendors and activities gave families another opportunity to enjoy the holiday.
And because Halloween actually fell on a Saturday this year, the candy-collecting marathon wasn’t over yet!
Saturday evening brought the traditional neighborhood trick-or-treating, with costumed kids making their rounds and filling their buckets one doorstep at a time.
By the end of the weekend, we’re guessing there were some pretty tired parents, some very happy kids, and enough candy floating around Quincy to keep local dentists busy for a while.

That’s How Quincy Does Halloween!
Beyond the costumes and candy, the weekend was another great example of our community coming together.
Local businesses, first responders, city departments, schools, and community organizations all took time to create something fun for families. And judging by the crowds downtown Friday evening, Quincy families were more than happy to show up and enjoy it.
A big thank-you to everyone who participated, handed out candy, organized activities, or helped make the weekend memorable.

We were downtown Friday night capturing the fun, and we’ve got plenty of pictures to share! Take a look through our Halloween photo gallery and see if you can spot your favorite costume, your neighbors, or maybe even yourself.
After all, what’s Halloween without a few good pictures and a whole lot of candy?
