The Rural News Champion Group
The RNCG are our champions doing big things for local news.
The Rural News Champion Group represents the businesses and individuals who believe strong communities need strong local communication.
Every update shared, every meeting covered, every community story told, and every daily newscast delivered is made possible in part by people who have chosen to invest in the future of local information for the 98848.
These members are more than supporters. They are helping build the communication infrastructure our community needs to stay informed, connected, and engaged. They understand that local news is not simply content, it is a vital community resource that helps residents, businesses, organizations, and civic leaders stay connected to what matters most.
The businesses and individuals listed here have stepped forward to help ensure that Quincy, George, Winchester, Crescent Bar, and Sunland Estates continue to have a reliable, locally owned source of information focused on the people who live and work here.
Their support helps make this work possible, and we are proud to recognize them as champions of local news and community connection in the 98848.

Quincy Partnership for Youth
Quincy Partnership for Youth (QPY) is a community coalition serving the Quincy School District area that brings together schools, healthcare providers, law enforcement, youth, parents, local organizations, and community volunteers around a shared mission: preventing substance use and promoting the wellbeing of young people. Founded in 2003, the coalition works to strengthen protective factors that help youth thrive, including family connections, positive peer relationships, community involvement, and a sense of belonging. Through programs such as Strengthening Families, healthy alternative teen activities, medication safety initiatives, community education, and prevention outreach, QPY focuses on creating opportunities for young people and families to build healthier, stronger futures. Rather than operating as a standalone organization, Quincy Partnership for Youth serves as a collaborative hub that helps connect partners, coordinate resources, and support efforts that benefit youth and families throughout the 98848.
